Performing Arts

The mission of Performing Arts Department is to equip actor/actress candidates with intellectual background and physical skills within the framework of ethical rules and contemporary methods of the profession. Students are provided with an interdisciplinary method to develop an analytical and critical perspective by exploring not only the history, theory and techniques of theater art, but also the intersection of theater with other branches of arts and sciences. The academic staff of the department consists of innovative, dynamic, sharing teachers who come different ecoles, follow the world literature, participate in academic production, and in the meantime, pursue their artistic studies in the field.

The department includes numerous elective courses in order to raise our students as actor/actress candidates who know past theatre practices, discuss and analyze today's theatre by following it, and have the capacity to shape the theatre of the future. In the program, where courses on acting, theory, sound and movement are offered for four years on a regular basis, students have the chance to test, perform and meet the audience on the stage with the knowledge, skills and practice lessons of the playwork to which important directors are invited.
