Special Education Teacher Training

Special Education Teaching Program aspires to train teachers who perform educational activities of individuals with special needs at pre-primary and primary school levels.

The mission of the program is to raise modern, creative, researching, questioning teachers who are adhered to universal values and ethical principles, provide differentiated and individualized education at pre-school and primary levels for students with mind, hearing, visual impairment, autism and giftedness by creating modern educational environments, and equip them with scientific and application skills, conduct and publish scientific studies on special education by providing postgraduate education opportunities.

Graduates work primarily in special education schools of the Ministry of National Education, Guidance and Research Centers of the Ministry; kindergartens and orphanages under the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services. They can also serve as Class Teachers in the Science and Arts Centers in case of meeting the conditions.
