Maltepe University has two UNESCO Chairs, Philosophy & Human Rights, and Gender Equality & Culture.
UNESCO Chair in Philosophy and Human Rights
Having established in 2009, UNESCO Chair in Philosophy and Human Rights aspires to conduct human rights research based on philosophical knowledge at the world level, set the informational content of human rights concepts, create and implement law on these foundations, and offer human rights education on this ground.

UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality and Culture began its activities on October 25, 2019. Focusing on the relationship of gender issues with culture, the chair aspires to conduct scientific research and practices at national and international levels, develop projects, conduct educational studies, organize scientific meetings and work in cooperation with other chairs in the UniTwin/UNESCO Chair program.
