Sociology (For Students With M.S. Degrees)

Sociology PhD Program aspires to educate sociologists who analytically look at people, society and dynamics in societies in the light of different techniques based on the basic theories and concepts of Sociology, understand, interpret, implement them, and conduct sociological research on various social issues in the light of this information, and make original contributions to the field at theoretical and methodological levels.

Using information obtained based on theoretical and empirical research, the program equips individuals who are accepted to the program with the skills and competencies required to formulate policies for the solution of local, national and global problems.

The mission of the program is to equip students with the ability to conduct independent research, examine scientific events from a broad, deep and rational perspective, comment and determine necessary steps to achieve new synthesis. Thus, it is aimed for people who are accepted into the Sociology Program to conduct research and research with advanced theories, methods and techniques, to conduct studies and research with advanced theories, methods and techniques, to convert these research findings into original works and to move forward scientific discussions in the field in this way.
