Department of Computer Engineering aspires to support development in today's rapidly expanding computer use, as well as to train experts to ensure the operation of existing systems on a regular basis. 

Hands-on laboratory classes carried out with the courses in the department aim to prepare students in the best way for the tasks they will undertake in their post-university life. The curriculum is designed to equip students with both theoretical and practical skills on basic mathematics, science courses along with computer sciences from the first year to their final year.

Computer Engineers have a wide range of working areas today when the use of computers is growing at a fast pace. Graduates can work as database administrators, data communication specialists, system programmers, application programmers and system analyzers. They can find employment in various public and private institutions, banks, universities, and companies that manufacture and market computer hardware and software in the fields of education, industry, commerce and service.
