Architectural Restoration

Architectural Restoration Program aspires to educate technical personnel who are equipped with sufficient knowledge and equipment, can prepare the architectural samples, monuments and monumental structures, relief, restitution proposal, restoration projects, and take part in the implementation of these projects in order to preserve and transfer cultural heritage with aesthetic, historical and documentary values to future generations.

In addition to theoretical background, the program provides qualified labor force in the field of architectural restoration based on practice-oriented teaching system and enables graduates to be equipped in all relevant areas with the knowledge of contemporary urbanism, archeology, architectural restoration, conservation, archeology, history, art history and environmental awareness.

Graduates of the Architectural Restoration Program can work in related units under Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, restoration and conservation laboratories in national palaces, museums, municipalities, archaeological excavations, architectural offices, and restoration projects.
